More importantly, we will be able to tell you what you don’t need. For example, some people don’t actually need a detox. Indeed, if you have one, when it isn’t needed, it is actually dangerous.

A detox is medication that works on receptors on the brain, the same receptors as alcohol and drugs.

If you don’t need a detox and have one it can be risky and lead to overdose. This is why you should avoid home detox companies who sell (illegally) pills in the post.

Before you commence a detox in a rehab center, you will be assessed by a clinician with drug advice expertise specific to UK standards. If there are no signs of withdrawal you do not need any medication. A pills in the post service can not do this so you put yourself at very serious risk.
